It will be a beautiful trip, where will pray and discern together with our Nicaraguan brothers and sisters where God is leading us as partners for the next five years. It will be led by Mission Co-Worker Tracey King-Ortega July 19-25, 2015. Applications due May 1st: https://www.pacificpresbytery.org/

Habitat for Humanity

We have raised $150K!!!! Congratulations Pacific Presbytery!! However, the Presbytery Habitat Team would like to call for a time of prayer for the Culver City Council. Our Presbytery Habitat Team has spoken at two City Council meetings, but the City continues to stall in making key decisions necessary to begin building. Please pray for for an end to the juggernaut in the Culver City Council so that we can move forward with the build.

New Orleans Trip April 25th-May 2nd

Please keep in prayer our 19 travelers from six churches, led by young adults from last year’s team! Churches represented by: First Inglewood, Community United, Knox, Calvary, Wilshire, and Mililani Presbyterian Churches.

Unaccompanied Minors in Los Angeles

Los Angeles County has received thousands of unaccompanied minor children ages 7-17 from Central America, placed by the Office of Refugee Resettlement with relatives as they go through the court process, without a legal right to representation. The children are fleeing tremendous violence in their countries, and often are the victims of sexual trafficking en route to the United States. They are the poorest of the poor among us in our city. We are partnering with the faith community city-wide to witness the court proceedings as well as coordinating a drive for basic supplies for the children and their families. Please contact Heidi heidi@pacificpresbytery.org to learn how your church can be involved!

Let us move forward with all grace and peace, working for the reign of God in our neighborhoods, our city and our world,

Heidi
