2017 Gulf Coast Mission Trip

The Presbytery of the Pacific (@PacPresbytery) Dream Team arrived in South Louisiana (#SOLA) on Saturday, May 6, 2017 to assist in rebuilding the homes and lives of the families affected by the massive flooding that took place back in August 2016.  Over 150,000 homes were destroyed, and thirteen people lost their lives.  Our team of eleven is comprised of 2 pastors and 9 volunteers from various churches within the Presbytery of the Pacific including: Calvary Hawthorne, First Inglewood, Angeles Mesa, Community United, Wilshire and Mililani Presbyterian Churches.  Pray for our volunteers as they embark on their mission!

Faith without works is dead. -James 2:14-26

What is the Storm with No Name??

On August 11, 2016, a complex of thunderstorms remained stationary for three days and dumped 6.9 trillion gallons of water in South Louisiana. See a video of the disaster HERE. It destroyed 150,000 homes and left 200,000 people homeless. Presbyterian Disaster Assistance has set up three emergency volunteer sites and are in GREAT need of volunteers. Please consider sending a team from your church. Find out more about the PDA disaster recover volunteer sites HERE.
