Calvary Presbyterian Church is seeking a dynamic and energetic leader for its monthly food ministry distribution. We seek an innovative individual of sincere faith with outstanding personal skills to lead our volunteers and bless people in need in our community.
English fluency required, Spanish and other language skills desired.
Time commitment – approximately 15 hours per month.
Compensation – $500 per month.

Our food distribution is currently held the 1st Saturday morning of each month. Food deliveries happen mid-week during the day. We receive most of our items from the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
Food Ministry Leader primary responsibilities.
- Place orders from Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
- Receive LA Food Bank orders of produce, canned foods, frozen foods, diapers, etc. as well as other community donations.
- Organize and lead volunteers for food packing, staging, and distribution.
- Oversee and organize distribution set-up and provide orientation and organization for food recipients.
- Manage heavy-impact traffic flow throughout church property.
- Work collegially with the Pastor, Elders, Deacons, volunteers, and church custodial staff.
- Handle Food Bank orders and all required written and on-line reports.
- Assure full compliance with all LA Food Bank regulations and standards.
- Meet all state and federal labor law requirements as an employee and comply with church policies.
