Clergy Dialogue on Theology and Discipleship Formation with Alan Hirsch – Friday, September 22nd from 10 am – 2 pm

To Pastors in the Presbytery of the Pacific,
For those of you who came to the clergy conversations on Charlottesville last week: thank you!! Thank you for showing up in this moment as the collective church in the powerful diversity of our Presbytery to engage in fierce, honest conversation together. We have formed a lead team out of last week’s gathering to take the next steps for our presbytery. Our first meeting is next week.
A reminder that you are invited to clergy dialogue with Alan Hirsch on Friday, September 22nd from 10 am – 2 pm at our clergy gathering at St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church in Rolling Hills Estates. Full brunch is provided.
We all know that our theology and discipleship formation matters like never before, so I invite us to continue to engage in candid conversations with each other around theology and discipleship formation in the church.
How are you as pastor thinking theologically in this moment? How are you preaching? How are you forming your congregation? What is your church’s witness? Is there anything that keeps you from preaching the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ today?
We will be wrestling with these questions and more with Alan Hirsch, a global missional thought-leader, originally from Australia, who is very much looking forward to having conversation with us! Maria Zack, who has been with us in prior pastor’s gatherings, will be facilitating.
We are serving a delicious brunch, and we will have a little more time together than at the gathering last week. Please RSVP to:presbytery@pacificpresbytery.org.
+Peace,
Heidi
