The Matthew 25 Movement:
Take the Pledge to Protect and Defend Vulnerable People in the name of Jesus
DACA youth urgently need our advocacy! Congress has until December 8, 2017 to pass the Dream Act, which would make a pathway to citizenship for DACA. If nothing passes, 800,000 DACA youth raised in the U.S. will be subject to deportation as of March 2018. To find out more, read Frequently Asked Questions about the Dream Act. Here’s the shareable link for how to call your Senators and Representatives  to invite others to use their power to advocate on behalf of DACA youth. Please click on the Matthew 25 poll each time you pray or do advocacy. Thank you!!
There is a Matthew 25 prayer phone call every Monday night from 4:30-4:450m to pray for God’s work in the Matthew 25 Movement. Call in number: 605.475.4060. Access code: 829616.
The party is getting started: Matthew 25 House Church Parties are happening all over Pacific Presbytery. They are 1.5 to 2 hour long gatherings in people’s homes to understand more about the Matthew 25 Movement.

Donations can be made through their GoFundMe website. We will also be collecting donations for the family at our Thanksgiving Celebration 11/18. Please RSVP.

Learn about conditions within the detention centers across Southern California and to receive detailed training tools for visiting detained persons. This will be an important time for people of faith and conscious to develop a deeper understanding about the crisis facing many in our communities and to put this understanding into action.
Great films and books for discussion about immigration:
1. “Locked in a Box” video on detention centers in the U.S. from Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
2. “The Genesis of Exodus“, a PC(USA) film about the root causes of migration of unaccompanied minors/child refugees from Central America (El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala).
3. “Our God is Undocumented“, book co-written by Rev. Matthew Colwell and Ched Myers. Matt is a Presbyterian pastor in Pasadena.
4. “The Stranger” film from the Evangelical Immigration Table.
